My Philosophy

To embrace each persons sporting differences or goals and provide the building blocks to take you from where you are now to where you want to be.

As humans we are capable of much more than we think – I believe every one of us can improve from where we are now. My approach to unlocking potential centers around the three foundational pillars of Commitment, Consistency and Patience. Each pillar interlocking, together creating the ideal platform for achieving your goals. By working in a step by step approach, lasting changes can be made which will enable you to keep doing the things you like doing – the key to longevity in sport and exercise.

My coaching style is one of simplicity, focusing on the basics without over complicating things, but instead providing an individualised, tried and tested holistic approach to training.

Through this approach I have helped clients achieve success in various forms – from increasing overall health and fitness, improving strength and speed on weekend group rides, first time IRONMAN finishers with little prior swimming experience, 1st place finishes after a long term run injury layoff and high end performance podiums in Duathlons, Ultra’s and Sportives to name a few.

A paradigm is a standard, perspective or set of ideas to be followed and challenged when necessary – a philosophy that I follow in my approach to training clients, whether that be for improvements in health, confidence, transformation or performance.

About Me

I have over 25 years experience training, competing, coaching and studying in the fields of endurance sport and strength training, which I am passionate about sharing with others to achieve their goals.

As an athlete I have trained and competed in rowing, running, swimming and triathlon picking up valuable insight from my own coaches along the way and as a coach, I enjoy throwing all my passion and experience into helping take clients to the next level. Seeing what the human body is capable of achieving, given the right tools and environment fascinates me and I have a particular interest in the benefits of strength training for endurance sport in order to maximise a person’s full potential.
